Plus the firework show was fantastic! We spent two full days there - one where the park was open later for the fire work show and one where it closed on time - from 11 am to closing and we STILL didn’t experience everything there was to see! We will definitely be going back and hope to try the new hurricane harbor also. Season passes and dining passes made the experience more affordable and the new additions to the amusement park - more animals, excellent animal shows that were educational, and rides - made it a great place to have lots of fun. Our daughter had been before but was very hesitant about rides - but this time she got on all of the looney toon seaport rides AND took on most of the moderate thrill rides! As a parent it was very cool to watch her have so much fun and evolve. It was our toddler’s first time going and he LOVED IT. But the kids only rode 2 rides in 5 hours (lines too long and the last one which would have been the 3rd ride they got to the front and it broke down after a hour and a half in line.ĭespite the outrageous prices of EVERYTHING nowadays we took our daughter here to spend a couple of days for her most recent birthday and there was something for the whole family. My mom and I walked around and looked at what’s left of Marine World Africa USA and did enjoy our day which is why I still rated a 3. We paid $38 for a refillable cup which is about 2/3 the size of the old bottles. Even the bottles they sell for drinks are smaller. On top of that it wasn’t working and wouldn’t let you check in even when you were there. The app to buy food ahead still had a 45 minute wait and a long line to pick up. And then half the rides are closed, the lines are long, most of the restaurants were closed even on a Friday during spring break so the lines to get food were crazy at places that were open. Another 30 minutes to a hour to get into the park. It takes 30 minutes just to get from the freeway to park. Now everything is more expensive but nothing has changed. So six flags still has work to do with a few employees! Thank you for a great time six flags!Īlso after the dolphin show they let my son hang out five minutes and interact with the dolphins! My son rarely uses his words and all he could talk about when he got home, was how he got to train the dolphins… it really made his night and it will be an experience he will always remember! They were awesome with him.Īlso FYI, I couldn't find any family restrooms. My son is a wonder and needs a companion with him at all times, so he had to use the female restrooms. Only problem we had… I could see my daughter and she needed help, but where she was, was turned into an exit, from the last five minutes I was with her… He staff would not let me go up to help her… they made me walk a mile around to where she was… and actually laughed that I had to do that… so although most workers were amazing, these 2 women had no empathy or compassion. Only downside… food is pretty horrible and overpriced and very long wait times…. Most workers looked at the pass and let us right on! They didn’t make us feel uncomfortable for using the pass! With the ADA pass they had little wait times which made it possible for us to go! If it wasn’t for this pass we wouldn’t be able to go. I actually lost my ADA pass, but the worker could see my daughter was in a wheel chair and let them right on the ride while I got another pass. The workers at every ride were polite, friendly and were mostly all smiles! And very patient! The line for an ADA pass was long, but a worker heard my son getting louder and louder and helped us immediately. My daughter had fractured her hip and can’t stand or walk for long periods, and my son has severe Tourette’s, making going out sometimes very difficult. I highly recommend visiting this museum it's a worthwhile experience for everyone.Ībsolutely wonderful! The park has so many accommodations for people with special needs. Be sure to check out the gift shop, which offers a wide range of collections including toy trains, keychains, books, coins, caps, cups, and more. ![]() While excursion train rides are available, it's important to note that these are separate from the museum entrance. The docents are welcoming and knowledgeable, offering a wealth of stories and information. Additionally, there is a designated train play area for kids. The top floor (Level 3) houses an amazing collection of toy trains, with several of them operational. ![]() On Level 1, there is an extensive display of locomotives and carriages from the transcontinental railroad era, providing a fascinating glimpse into railway history. This museum appeals to people of all ages. ![]() Different tickets are available for adults and children. We visited on a weekday morning, and there was no rush.
